Revealed; Ruto’s action plan to win back his favorite Uhuru

Emerging details indicate that Deputy President William Ruto seems have learnt that all is not well, judging by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s action this week.

Uhuru on Tuesday picked Matiangi head the newly constituted National Development Implementation and Communication Committee.

And with this meaning that he will be in charge of development projects, a role Ruto has been playing, Ruto has since called upon his allies to stop politicking.

This follows observations from a section of politicians and pundits that Uhuru might have taken the move against Ruto who seems to be using development projects to drum up support for his 2022 presidential bid.

A Central Kenya parliamentarian who has been eyeing Ruto’s running mate slot told the Saturday Nation that the DP has told them to maintain a ‘low profile at the meantime’.

This seems like a plan to regain Uhuru’s trust and probably regain his footing.

The leader is part of the group that had been following Ruto to his weekly functions and proposing him as the best person to succeed Uhuru who is on his second and last term.

But Uhuru has repeatedly urged politicians from all political quarters to shun the 2022 debate and give the nation time to recover from the heavily contested 2017 polls.

He has maintained that politicians must use the current time to concentrate on service delivery and wait for 2022 to resume politicking.

Though Ruto has not been publicly endorsing his bid, his lieutenants have been doing the complete opposite of Uhuru’s instructions.
