Former Zaire Striker,Pierre Ndaye Mulamba nicknamed “Mutumbula” has passed away at the age of 70.He died this Saturday (26 January 2019) in South Africa where he had been on treatment since September 2018.
Cameroon Football legend,Samuel Etoo had reacted to a call for assistance last September by Financing Ndaye’s transportation to South Africa and his treatment. The legend been battling with knee problems but unfortunately he lost his battle today.

One of the best strikers Congo and Africa has ever known,Ndaye was the hottest Striker in the 1974 AFCON cup of Nations in Egypt.The unstoppable striker scored 9 goals for then Zaire dragging his country to the their second AFCON win after beating Zambia in the final.
His 9 goals in the 1974 tournament remains a record which he holds till date.
The former Kasai Renaissance, AS Bantous won the African Club championship as an AS Vita Club in Kinshasa player in 1973 beating Asante Kotoko of Kumasi.
Ndaye helped his country qualify for the 1974 world cup in Germany.
His dead is certainly a sad News for the African Football family.
