Kenyan Female artist Akothee has sent message to Governor Joho in regard to the support of coastal artists.
The Singer says she believes that the Mombasa Governor has a kind heart and would always come through for artists.
Akothee added that she believes Governor Joho is an entertainment lover and that is why his heart is close to artists.
However she says that the people around him are a great hindrance to the Governor’s help reaching them.
Speaking during an interview to Mseto East Africa, Akothee added that they will be having an event in Watamu and her request to the coastal leaders is that they may offer their support.
Madam Boss also mentioned that the intention of that Valentine event is to give a platform for coastal artists to unite and interact in order to boost their music game.
On how they relate with Governor Joho, Akothee says that they meet once in a while during events and she believes that he is indeed a man with a kind heart.
She also passed the same message to Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi as she asked him to show his support toward the upcoming event and equally the local talents.
The two coast governors are cool people but Akothee blame the hungry people around them as the main problem.
She also made it clear to them that talent in the coast is dying because artists lack support but they need to take action in order to uplift their own.
