Kenya airways to begin direct flights to Europe’s banking district

Image result for kenya airwaysKenya Airways will resume its flight to Rome, and commence Nairobi-Geneva route by June, in a bid to attract leisure and business customers.

The national carrier will fly flying four times a week to the new destinations using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner, said Sebastian Mikosz, its Chief Executive and Managing Director.

“With this route, Kenya Airways will offer excellent connections from these two cities to its 43 destinations in Africa for business, diplomatic missions, and tourism.

It is a perfect complement to Nairobi which is also Africa’s hub for UN among other international agencies,” said Mr Mikosz.Image result for geneva

Rome has a “global city” status with rich history and culture making it one of the top leading tourist destinations in the world.

On the other hand, Geneva is a global hub for diplomacy, as it hosts various international organisations such as United Nations (UN).

The resumption of flights to Rome and addition of Geneva route will increase the KQ destinations to 5 in Europe, and 55 globally.Image result for geneva

Beginning Tuesday tickets will be available for sale with an introductory price on offer until February 15 2019 for $699 from Nairobi.
