How Much Man Utd Will Have To Pay Target Perisic Tipped For Exit

Signing Ivan Perisic from Inter could reportedly cost Man Utd €40m as it’s been claimed in Italy that he is edging towards an exit from the Serie A giants.

The 29-year-old has seemingly been on our radar for some time, as he publicly revealed back in December that he was close to joining us in the summer of 2017, as noted by the Evening Standard.

Although he may have been a target for former boss Jose Mourinho, Sportmediaset continue to name us in transfer speculation linked to the Croatian international, albeit it’s added that he’ll still cost €40m as an exit from the San Siro looks likely.

Atletico Madrid are named as competition for his signature, but ultimately it remains to be seen whether or not we still hold a genuine interest in the winger.

With Marcus Rashford’s recent form in mind, coupled with the fact that Anthony Martial is now being tipped to sign a new contract, as noted by the Metro, it raises the question as to whether Perisic would even be needed if our current attacking options are producing the goods.

Further, looking at Perisic’s form so far this season, it could indicate a decline as he’s struggled to have the same impact as in recent campaigns which is why he is now perhaps being tipped to leave.

Time will tell if United do make an approach, but given the fee being touted, the hierarchy will surely have to step in and make a decision with uncertainty still remaining over who our long-term manager will be as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains interim boss.

Signing players who fit his ideas and system will be a crucial factor when considering any new additions made either this month or early in the summer.
