Were has been at the Zambian Super League club for just three years and his five-goal haul in Caf Competitions this year have made him the club’s highest goalscorer surpassing Jackson Mwanza with whom they were tied on 60 goals at the end of the 2018 season.

Although he has never finished as top scorer in the Zambian league, the lanky forward has established himself as one of the most reliable poachers in Zambia averaging 17 goals a season.
