Nadia Mukami: How I lost my scholarship to Sauti Academy

Phenomenal Nadia Mukami has  revealed how she lost the golden opportunity to be part of Sauti Academy.

Any upcoming artists would love to be in a space as Sauti Academy; where talent is nurtured.

The female artist says that she won a 2 year scholarship into Sauti Academy but lost it because of her university Degree  program.

What might have seemed like the end of the world for her music career  was only a test of time and patience.

Nadia is  currently among the top celebrated female artists in Kenya and her brand grows day and night.

Last year, Nadia graduated from Maseno University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance  and 2018 for her was a year that marked greater achievements in the music industry.

She will tell you that challenges  are there for any female upcoming artist but she has risen above it all to be a woman of standards and  great example to those pursuing a music as a career.

Nadia was among the chosen few to headline in Wasafi Festival Nairobi Edition and her entry into Coke Studio is yet another testimony.

She does not stop at that, the Singer is set for other levels and wins.

Things you didn’t know about NADIA MUKAMI:(part 1) 1.Ever won a 2 year music scholarship to Sauti Academy but lost it because of my university degree program ? 2.I used to act set books at National theatre when I cleared highschool and also did Poetry courtesy of PAL (most artists know what PAL is at KNT) and acted hapo Pangani social hall but I was chosen for travelling and my Dad declined ? Now you know why I have such good facial expressions on my videos lol?? 3.I used to read news in Swahili every Friday in my former highschool Mount Laverna School all the alumnis can confirm this I was the school’s Kanze Dena lol? (all my teachers thought I was gonna be a journalist)p.s I was the only ONE in the whole school doing news in Swahili every Friday (uceleb ilianza kitambo)? 4. I used to be a radio presenter back in campus at Equator FM but did it for a year then started doing music. 5.I wrote my first book when I was 17 took it to Moran publishers but they turned it down They then gave me an editing script and years later I still have the final copy of the book (will release it one day) ? Anyways,what can you learn from all this? I am a very artistic lady I would say ? I thank God for giving me this artistic gift because it has helped me build my confidence as an artist!
