Crystal Palace have been impressive on the road in the Premier League this season and could make their presence felt when facing Liverpool at Anfield.

The Eagles have won their last two away games at Manchester City and Wolves and have only failed to score twice in 11 top-flight fixtures on their travels.

Admittedly, Anfield has been a fortress for the Reds this term, but we still like 6/5 for both teams to score for our first Liverpool vs Crystal Palace prediction.

Liverpool’s home record is excellent, dropping just two points from 10 fixtures on Merseyside and letting in only three goals in those games.

However, the Reds have conceded in two of the last three matches at this venue, when beating Manchester United 3-1 and Arsenal 5-1.

Jurgen Klopp has had to contend with a series of defensive injury woes and suffered another blow after Trent Alexander-Arnold was rocked by a knee problem.

Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren have also been on the sidelines, so this is an area where Liverpool may be more vulnerable at present.

Klopp can still rely on his formidable front men to get the job done, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino still going strong.

Crystal Palace have struggled with consistency this term and put in another frustrating home display when beaten 2-1 by Watford last weekend, despite being gifted a half-time lead by Craig Cathcart’s own goal.

The Eagles wasted some good chances to increase their advantage, with Wilfried Zaha hitting Ben Foster’s out-stretched leg and then blazing high and wide after neat footwork in the box.

Roy Hodgson said: “It is tough to lose any game, tough to lose at home and it is even tougher because we have done well lately.
