While the country may be celebrating the end of a horrendous siege that was well responded to by the Kenya Security services, questions still need to be answered.

More progress is being made in Matiang’i phase 2 of criminal process that is now focusing on hunting down all those who were involved in the unfortunate Dusit D2 Hotel building explosion along River Drive.

According to latest reports, police raided a house where one of the DusitD2 attackers used to live in Bondeni, Mombasa, on Thursday at 3 am.

The area is inhabited by a large number of people from the Somali community.

The suspect is reported to have sneaked from Boni Forest and lived in the house for four months before shifting to Machakos and finally Kiambu.

Investigators traced the house using records retrieved from a phone recovered from the car that was used by the gunmen, a police source privy to probe said.

County police boss Johnstone Ipara did not deny or confirm the claims of the raid.

“The operation is being handled from Nairobi. Let us wait and hear what they have to say,” he said.

It’s not clear what the police found in the house.

Yesterday police cordoned off Guango estate in Ruaka, where the vehicle said to have been used in the Riverside attack is said to have been spotted several times.

One of the terrorists Farouk is believed to have been staying in house No E9 in Guango Estate.

Anti-terrorism police have been camping at the site.
