The two sisters who survived the attack at the Secret Garden

On Tuesday at 3PM the Dusit D2 at Riverside Drive was attacked by gunmen who also blew up some cars.

Among the survivors were two sisters who are said to have been at the hotel having lunch at the Secret gardens when the explosion happened.

Fortunately they were  able to hide at the counter before they were rescued. The lady who did not want to give her name said the first explosion happened at the Secret Garden where there were many casualties.

In another account a survivor spoke to Citizen TV and explained what had happened

“When I was walking into the hotel, I heard loud gunshots. Before I knew it, we were running helter-skelter to run away from the terrorists.During the commotion, we heard a group of around four men speaking to themselves, saying ‘ua hao, ua hao (Kill them, kill them) but I did not see them. However, a group of three women, who I was within hiding, saw the attackers’ faces.”

Another survivor of the Dusit D2 attacked added “We heard a blast, people tried to disappear, shortly, people heard gunshots and were forced to run back inside,” he stated, I tried to escape with a friend but she fainted as we ran away from the gunshots,” one woman told KTN News. “So I had to leave her and hide in one of the bathrooms until the police came and rescued me.”

One witness said that she had seen body parts as she left the site, and there were reports of gun victims, including at least one child, being treated at local hospitals.
