AC Milan forward Gonzalo Higuain has been on Chelsea’s radar in this window but so far, no deal has materialised to bring the hotshot to Stamford Bridge. Now it appears the Argentine is taking matters into his own hands as a video has emerged of the striker in training, completely wiping out his manager Gennaro Gattuso.
The late tackle tool place during a rondo session in Milan training which former player Gattuso was joining in with. Higuain was chasing the ball around a clearly growing more and more frustrated with his teammates’ quick passing around him which lead him to put in a crunching tackle on his gaffer.
It was a tackle that was reminiscent of Gattuso’s playing days, as he took out his man way after the ball had been played. Gattuso seems to react fairly calmly which is not quite what you would expect giving his recent history of slapping players who step out of line.
Perhaps Higuain had been told he could not leave the club in this window but this is a sure-fire way to annoy your boss and make him want to get rid of you. Chelsea fans should be licking their lips at this video as they look to bring in a new striker this window.
Alvaro Morata has drawn interest from Spain whilst Olivier Giroud is also being linked with a move away. Callum Wilson and Higuain remain their possible replacements as Maurizio Sarri looks to shake up his firepower at the top of the pitch.
