Barely a day after the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), NASA’s affiliate party, distanced itself from the early proposal, the political outfit has now confirmed the coalition has proposed another name for consideration by Governor Mike Sonko.

In a statement issued on Monday, January 14, and signed by NASA’s chief executive officer Norman Magaya, the coalition proposed ODM party member Jane Muringi Wangui to replace Polycap Igathe who unceremoniously resigned from the plum position on January 12, 2018.

Wangui is a bonafide member of ODM party, a constituent party of NASA coalition,” read part of the statement posted on ODM’s twitter handle and later deleted.

“She is academically and professionally well-grounded with vast experience in management of public affairs. Having grown up and vied for the position of member of parliament, Embakasi North constituency, she no doubt understands the needs and aspirations of the people of this great city,” added Magaya.
