Manchester United ace speaks on Ole Gunnar impact in dressing room

After five straight wins in all competitions, Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has lauded the impact Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has delivered in the dressing room.

Solskjaer was appointed as the Manchester United manager on a temporary basis after the sacking of Jose Mourinho following a string of poor results. Since taking over The Red Devils, Solskjaer has witnessed his team score 16 goals and let in only three, a run that has seen them cut their gap with fourth-placed Chelsea to just six points from 11.

In an interview with manutd.com, Romero opened up on how Solskjaer has had an impact on the team, “Scoring five goals in one match was a big boost to confidence and was really something. What we’re showing now, after a great Christmas, is only right for a club of this stature, [it] proves what we can do. The run we’ve had over Christmas and new year is testament to that.

“[The manager] knows what he wants to achieve – both for the club and us as individuals. On the pitch and within the club, he has made it very clear from the outset so we know the expectation of us inside the club and externally. You can see he has brought to the club a certain happiness and it is going well.”#

Manchester United next take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 13 January at the Wembley Stadium in a 7:30 PM (EAT) kick off.
