Denis Suarez has been promised by Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu he will be allowed to join Premier League side Arsenal this month.
The north London side is keen to land the midfielder who is reported to have agreed personal terms with the Gunners. The 25-year-old wants to leave the Spanish giants this January as he has set his eyes on a reunion with Unai Emery. Marca reports that Bartomeu has had to personally intervene in transfer talks after both parties hit a wall.
Barcelona is requesting a fee in the region of £15million to let the midfielder leave, however, Arsenal is not willing to match the Catalans’ asking price. The club wants to take the Spaniard on loan with an option of making the transfer permanent in the summer.
