Raila assures Ruto of his safety in Jubilee

The handshake has been top of the trending topics among different political leaders with m ost Jubilee leaders claiming it was not for a good course, as it came to part the relationship DP Ruto and President Kenyatta had before.

According to Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura, handshake came to tear Jubilee apart, he further claimed that the [parry was one big umbrella but since March 9th things have fallen apart.

However, that may seem not true as far as  ODM leader Raila Odinga is concerned.Mr.Odinga cameout defending the handshake after all the hullabaloos that have been said by leaders saying that it was important as it came to prevent the country from disintegrating after the disputed 2017 elections that resulted in his swearing-in as the “people’s president” and not  to push DP Ruto out of Jubilee Party.

In addition, “We would have continued the hard way but we thought of Kenyans and decided we should come together with President Kenyatta. There are those saying that Raila wants to wreck Jubilee and chase others out. That is nonsense. We want to change the country for the better.”

He further said the handshake had been misunderstood and mixed up with the 2022 succession.

“The people were angry and saw only darkness. The President said we should talk. We agreed to end fighting and address the real causes of the hatred among Kenyans and poverty,” Mr Odinga said.

“The 2022 poll will come and people will contest. We are still in 2019. Give us time so that we can build Kenya first. When 2022 will come, men and women will vie. It is still too early now. What we want is growth. Let’s wait for direction. It is not time for election campaigns,” the ODM leader said.

Do you think Ruto’s ally are too haste into making conclusions?
