Former Manchester United boss LVG reveals who will win the league

Former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has tipped Liverpool to win the Premier League title.

Van Gaal won the FA Cup with Man United before being sacked and replaced by Jose Mourinho. Mourinho has also been sacked and both failed to restore the Red Devils glory witnessed during Sir Alex Ferguson reign. He believes Liverpool solidity at the back line is the major factor that will win them the league gong last on in 1990.

“If I was to put my money on one club for the league, it would be Liverpool. Liverpool has a team that can defend much better. That’s because Klopp has trained them to be a fighting force, whether they have the ball or not.

“That’s exactly what is lacking in Guardiola’s team now. City has fabulous football ideas and a sparkling way of playing but not the right fighting spirit. Don’t get me wrong, I still love to watch City play but the way Klopp makes Liverpool play is absolutely fantastic.” the Dutchman added while speaking with The Mirror.

Liverpool still leads the pack with four points clear from second-placed Manchester City despite a 2-1 loss at the Etihad on Thursday.
