Owour followers question journalists; claim they are ‘demeaning’ their Prophet

Prophet or no prophet? This has been one of the biggest debate for the past few days as  Owour followers continue with the online disapproval on how the media handled his story.

From followers  to pastors, things have heated up online as the question why journalists fail to recognize him yet other nations have come forth to honour him.

The followers for the past few days have  brought twitter to a stand still with questions, advise and even drafted letters to some of the media houses and bloggers after some used a 3 year old to air what seemed to have been a current story.

Yes, that might have been a hitch but do they have another agenda they are trying to push forward?

In my opinion this goes beyond the story that was aired . For a long time, their  man of God has faced criticism over allegations that he is a fraud and the reaction by his followers potrays them as individuals aiming at protecting what they believe in.

Religion can be a big debate and can equally turn ugly in cases of disagreement. But the bottom line is  striking the balance which may seem so hard of a task to others.

Personally my way of handling  this case, being in the shoes of the followers is that sometimes silence or simplified communication prevents so much and can solve drama much easier than many  have been handling it.
