‘Famous’ methods by Sir Alex Ferguson Solskjaer is reintroducing

Just another example of Solskjaer using Ferguson's methodsOle Gunnar Solskjaer has had a superb start to life at Manchester United.

The Norwegian manager has won all four of his games in charge, with his side scoring 14 times in the process.

There’s still a lot of work to be done – United are still six points away from the top four – but it has still been a very encouraging start.

Of course, Solskjaer was at the club as a player, spending 11 seasons at the club under Sir Alex Ferguson’s management.

Upon being given the job, Solskjaer revealed just how much of an influence his former manager has been on him.

“He’s influenced me with everything to be fair,” Solskjaer said last month, per Manutd.com.

“The way he’s dealt with people, the way he was the manager of the club, how he kept 25 international players happy, hungry and wanting to improve. But also the [way he dealt with] staff in and around the place.

“He’s been my mentor. From my injury in 2003 at least, I was making all the notes, what he did in different, certain situations.

“Of course I’ve already been in touch with him, because there’s no one better to get some advice from.”

And now Solskjaer is set to reintroduce a ‘famous’ method used by Ferguson to boost morale even further.

Sir Alex Ferguson used quiz nights in order to boost morale with the squad

According to the Sun, Solskjaer is set to bring back Ferguson’s ‘quiz night’ on team stopovers in order to raise the squad’s unity.

Ferguson is said to have been a massive fan of general knowledge quizzes and would regularly pit his wits up against his players to try and boost team morale.

Under Mourinho, players would go up to their rooms instead of spending time with each other.

But Solskjaer is clearly keen to prevent that from happening much longer.

A United insider said: “The difference in the mood around Carrington is like night and day since Ole game in.Image result for ryan giggs

“We’ve even seen Ryan Giggs pay us a visit, who seemed to keep his distance when he left and Mourinho was here.

“Mike Phelan is back and he and Sir Alex used to love quiz night and were fiercely competitive.

“So the lads have heard they need to start brushing up on their general knowledge. It sounds just the job.”

It is believed that Solskjaer will also ask his players to spend more time with each other at the team hotel before away games.

Good stuff from Solskjaer.

The 45-year-old clearly thinks morale is of the utmost importance and he is doing his best to ensure there is a solid camaraderie within the Man United dressing room.
