Klopp praises his two in one star

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on his custodian Alisson Becker noting that he is two players rolled into one as he is an outfield player as well.

Alisson made the switch from Italian giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window for a fee of £65 million, making him the most expensive goalkeeper at the time before his record was shuttered by Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Brazilian keeper has been instrumental for his side, helping them keep 12 clean sheets and concede the league’s fewest goals (eight) which is half of what their closest challengers have conceded.

Klopp hailed Alisson for being an integral part of the team and the many dimensions that he brings to the side.

“Alisson is unbelievably important. They all have their specific importance, for sure, but Ali is not only the goalkeeper. He is an outfield player as well and that helps of course.”
