Not Ruto:Rift Valley given an option for a new “Joshua”

The curse of the Deputy President is real. The Deputy President William Ruto might soon fall victim of the curse if he does not re-strategies his steps.

Jubilee vice-chairperson David Murathe has dismissed Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid and called on Rift Valley to produce another candidate.

Murathe, who is a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, said Ruto has served his term and should prepare to exit in 2022.

“Huyu mtu ukimuachia dakika kidogo unaona kile anafanya. Sasa ukipatia yeye hii kiti si kutakuwa kubaya? (You can see what this man can do with the little time he has been given. It will be bad if he is given the seat),” Murathe said.

But will the Rift Valley leaders choose instead of DP Ruto?

They are not short of options.A section of leaders from the region disowned DP Ruto long time ago and have always opposed his moves. This call is that of happiness to them led by Joshua Kuttuny and Alfred Keter who are opposed to DP Ruto ideologies.

This means Gideon Moi who has been grooming himself for the state bid come 2022 will have an added advantage as the current Jubilee woes continue to widen.

But Murathe has in recent times established good relationship with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi. He has given him absolute access into the Kikuyu lands to convince leaders to support his Presidential Bid come 2022.
