CJ Maraga reveals on the next move for his driver after the accident

The Supreme court president Chief Justice David Maraga has now revealed on his next move for his driver following his accident that happened on Saturday that left the him  and his wife in hospital.

In his statement  the CJ pledged to support the driver of the car identified as Mr. Kigen and who sustained more injuries. “We are praying for him and will do anything we can to assist his treatment, The Inspector General of Police has this morning assured me Mr Kigen, the driver of the other vehicle who got more serious injuries than we did is in stable condition”. He added.

The accident saw President Uhuru Kenyatta for Maraga to be airlifted to Nairobi for further treatment.

In his statement, Maraga thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta who swiftly responded to the news about the accident by ordering an airlift for him and his wife Yucabeth Nyaboke.

He also expressed gratitude to different leaders including Deputy President William Ruto and Raila Odinga for their good will messages.

“We are touched by goodwill messages of DP Ruto and Raila, the latter having visited us this morning and prayed with us,” Maraga said.

Not much details was available on the driver of the other vehicle who was involved in the accident with no photos of the driver or the vehicle available by the time of going to press.

During the accident, Maraga sustained minor head injuries while his wife was in shock but stable.
