The Deputy President William Ruto will today obtain the title ‘Dr’ as he graduates from the University of Nairobi with a doctorate, after six years of study. In 2016, he failed to graduate because he had not met all the coursework requirements.
It will be a triple celebration for the deputy president who will also be marking his 52nd birthday as well as his 27th wedding anniversary to his wife Rachel.
The deputy president has a Bachelor’s degree in Botany and Zoology and a Master’s degree in Plant Ecology.
It is on this same day that Ruto is celebrating 27 years of marriage to his wife Rachel Ruto, having made an honest woman out of the Second Lady in 1991.
Incidentally, DP Ruto is also celebrating his birthday as he turns 52 he was born on December 21, 1966, in Sambut village, Kamagut, Uasin Gishu to Daniel Cheruiyot and Sarah Cheruiyot.
