Secret Strategy?? Raila’s EXCLUSIVE Phone Call With THESE Former Presidents To Discuss Upcoming Election

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga held an exclusive phone with three former African presidents discussing the upcoming elections in DR Congo.

Raila had on Tuesday attended a high-level group meeting on mitigating disruptive applications of ICT on the electoral process in Africa alongside former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Ernest Koroma and John Mahama at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The team recommended that the African Union, South African Development Community (SADC), the UN Security Council (UNSC), the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) and the European Union work together to create a joint situation room to respond to any event that will compromise the credibility of DRC election.

“The during the next few days to create a joint situation room to monitot the situation in DRC and respond quickly to any untowrd event that will compromise the credibility of the elections.

“Having watched recent political developments in DRC with keen interest, we are confident the good people of DRC will not allow the doom on the December 23 elections as feared by some in the international community to pervade and break on a great country like the DRC in the African continent,” a statement signed by the leaders read in part.

The committee held that African problems must be solved by Africans themselves.

“All stakeholders in the elction process including politicial parties, the candidate, the electorate and the election managment body be part of the success story of the elections. We urge the citizens to exercise their rights to vote in a peaceful and orderly manner and request the Congolese security services to respond to any public protests within the law,” the leaders noted.

The leaders further stated that elections should be a unifying force to bring people of the country together and rekindle hope for its citizens that have fled the country.

“We enjoin all candidates to caution their supports against violence and voter intimidation and appeal to the incumbent to support a free, fair and credible election,” they implored.
