A court has granted the controversial  Uasin Gishu veteran politician and farmer Mzee Jackson Kibor  divorce to his third wife Naomi Jeptoo.

Eldoret Principal Magistrate Naomi Wairimu said the divorce application was valid having been consented to by the two parties.

The  veteran politician had moved to court on February this year citing denial of conjugal rights, psychological suffering, desertion among reasons he wants to divorce his second wife.

“The defendant has failed to give the plaintiff emotional support and offer consortium and society as would be reasonably expected in any marriage. She has failed to show concern, empathy to the plaintiff’s emotional needs of love and companionship, thereby denying him marital rights,” Kibor’s divorce application read in part.

He said he underwent a lot of stress due mistreatment and disrespect and even intended to sue for an eviction order.

This comes just two months after Kibor convinced the court to dissolve his marriage to his second wife Josephine Jepkoech after 52 years of marriage.

Eldoret chief magistrate Charles Obulutsa dissolved Kibor’s union with Jepkoech citing dissertation and cruelty.

Kibor now remains with his young wife Eunita Kibor whom he married in 2002.Eunita is in her late 30s thirties. The first wife, Mary, died eight years ago.
