Interior Ministry and Central Bank of Kenya sign MOU

The Central Bank of Kenya and the Kenya Police Service today signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the provision of accommodation facilities for police officers attached to CBK.

The MOU signed by the CBK Governor Patrick Njoroge and the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet establishes a framework under which the CBK and Kenya Police Service will commit resources towards construction of accommodation facilities for police officers who from time to time are attached or seconded to CBK.

“@CBKKenya has signed an MoU with @NPSOfficial_KE to construct decent accommodation for police officers attached to the institution. CS @FredMatiangi lauded the move as worth emulating & an acknowledgement of the significance of the Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit (CIPU),” read a tweet from the official Interior Ministry Twitter account.

IG Boinnet and Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i applauded the move by the CBK Governor Mr. Njoroge saying that the move was in line with President Kenyatta’s plan for police reforms where the officers can live together and interact with other members of the community.
