The curtains have closed for the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) student Tracy Wambui who was involved in the horrific Mbagathi road accident on Jamhuri Day last week. The news of her death was announced in a statement on the CUEA website as well as the University’s social media platforms.

01 – The CUEA Family is saddened to announce the demise of Tracy Wambui Mungai who succumbed to injuries this afternoon, Monday 17th December 2018. Miss Tracy was a fourth year student at our Faculty of Law.

Tracy was one of the three female accidents in the Mazda Demio which according to eye witnesses, lost control, rammed into a pole and hit a man who was jogging, killing him on the spot.
One of the female occupants, Glory Kinariki Msuya, died on the spot while Tracy and Godsave Naibaraki were rushed to hospital in critical condition. The deceased has been receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but succumbed to her injuries today.
03 – Godsave Naibaraki Megiroo also our student who was in the same accident, is still recuperating at Kenyatta National Hospital.
