Will William Ruto finally gain full acceptance in Western Kenya?
Deputy President William Ruto was in Western County of Vihiga for his second day of action and this time with more goodies for the region. The second most powerful man in the country was touching all areas of the Jubilee’s Big Four agenda from schools to roads but politics wasn’t left out of the equation.

He was not done as he started street lighting projects at Esirulo, Ebukanga, Ilungu and Mwicho markets at a cost of Sh11 million. According to Ruto, he ambitious street lighting project will be completed by the end of this month in bid to turn the otherwise sleepy markets into thriving 24-hour operation trading centres.
“When we took government in 2013, only 17,000 people had been connected to electricity,” said Mr Ruto, adding “we now havee 45,000 people connected. We are connecting 15,000 more people.” he said.

Deputy President (DP) William Ruto has launched the construction of 40-kilometre Ekwanda-Luanda-Esirulo-Magada Road on his second day of his Vihiga County tour. He made a stop at Esirulo, off Stendkisa-Kumusalaba Road, where he insisted that the road that will connect the interior to Luanda, Busia and Maseno townships will be tarmacked by August, 2019.
