Hudda honours her Ksh200,000 pledge

Kenyans are truly generous people and this was evident once again after audience at the popular Churchil show on Jamhuri day donated over 1 million kenya Shillings to Divas Power Initiative a girls dance group that hails from Mathare slums in Nairobi.

Under one hour the girls who narrated their challenges on Churchill Show moved the crowd loading them to generously donate and pledge cash that went to cater for their needs.

The girls, who are part of a dance and mentorship initiative by an FBI dance crew member Moesha Kay, had in a video narrated how they are unable to go to school, attend dance practice and afford sanitary towels.

Some of the people in the audience who pledged were cosmetic guru Hudda Monre who pledged to donated Ksh 200,000 and she meant what she said.

While taking to her social media group, Huddah posted a picture while honouring her pledge with caption:”It is the season to give!
I Promised to give kshs 200,000 to Divas Power Initiative to clear their school and medical arrears for those living with HIV Courtesy of @huddah_foundation and I delivered ….. ??

I also gave out make up Courtesy of @huddahcosmetics to keep them looking beautiful thru this sparkling season and clothes from @rebel.nairobi to keep them staying Trendy! …. I challenge y’all Flossers to do the same …. Lend a helping hand ??

Other people who pledged to help the girls include KICC CEO Nana Gichaga who pledged Ksh 100,000 K24 News anchor Betty Kyalo who offered to do a makeover at her Flair by Betty salon to the girls as well as give her donation of Ksh 100,000 and other  corporate representatives attending the show also made pledges.
