Arsenal can sign Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez for just £14million in January, according to reports.
Suarez, the Spain international, has been told he can leave Camp Nou next month and his representatives have already started sounding out clubs who have shown interest in him.
Arsenal are one of a number of Premier League sides to have been linked with the 24-year-old, and the Independent claims Suarez has been offered to the Gunners for a cut-price fee.
And the north Londoners are believed to be considering the deal with Suarez viewed as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey, the Wales midfielder, who is to leave the Emirates next year.
Ramsey is out of contract at the end of the season and he will not be offered a new deal by Arsenal.
He will either depart as a free agent next summer, or will be sold by the Gunners in January should an acceptable offer be made for the 27-year-old former Cardiff player.
Suarez, who spent two years at Manchester City earlier in his career, joined Barcelona from Villarreal two summers ago. He enjoyed a productive loan spell at Sevilla in 2014/15, where he was managed by Unai Emery, the current Arsenal boss.
He has been capped once by Spain, appearing as a second-half substitute against Bosnia and Herzegovina in May 2016.
