Just a day after the nation was shocked with the sudden death of famous actor Jamal Gaddafi,his murder suspect who happened to be his girlfriend Grace Kanamu Namulo, has been remanded for five days to allow for investigations to be conducted.
In an earlier report, Kanamu gave her version of events explaining that the slain actor fell on the kitchen knife.
“Mr Gadafi accidentally fell on the kitchen knife when the argument we were having got heated. It’s not true that I killed him,” she stated.
She also revealed that she “stumbled upon Mr Gadafi writhing in pain after he fell on a kitchen knife” in the incidence that took place on Tuesday evening.
According to a police report, the celebrated actor had an argument with his girlfriend who had then drove a long knife into his chest. Jamal fell on the ground.
“It was reported that Jamal Nassul Gaddafi 39, was having a party at Arks Hotel near 67 Airport Hotel on the night of December 11, 2018. There was a quarrel between him and his friend Grace Kanamu Namulo 40. She picked a knife and stabbed him,” read the police report.
Jamal, had a main role in KTN’s drama series “Junior”, recently took up a new role in the TV series “Aunty Boss” which airs every Tuesday on NTV was stabbed to death with his girlfriend using a kitchen knife after wrangling over reasons yet to be established.
Mr Gadafi was rushed to Shalom Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Athi River Police boss Sharma Wario confirmed the incident. A Good Samaritan reported the incident at Mlolongo Police Station on Tuesday night. Police have launched investigations into the actor’s killing.
