Ronaldo calls on Messi to quit Barca

The rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is with no doubt what used to give El Classico matches the taste and standard it hard.

The leaving of Cristiano from Real Madrid to join Italian side Juventus has left the Spain biggest clash between Barca and Real Madrid a boring encounter.

The history and record that Messi has set in the Spanish side is undoubtedly over the bar right now. He has been the talk of Spain for over a decade now.

His style of play is withstanding and right now Cristiano is in dire need of some competition form the Italian side.

Cristiano Ronaldo has invited Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi to leave Spain and join him in Italy one day.

The Portugal international swapped Real Madrid for Juventus in the summer and has scored 10 goals in 15 Serie A matches for the Old Lady.

Meanwhile, Messi has continued to flourish without Ronaldo in La Liga with 17 goals in 16 La Liga and Champions League matches this season.

The pair’s decade-long dominance of the Ballon d’Or crown came to an end this term when Luka Modric won the 2018 award.

And Ronaldo wants Messi to rejoin him in the same league once again by moving to Italy soon.

“Messi? Maybe it’s him who misses me,” Ronaldo told La Gazetta dello Sport.

“I’ve played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal and for my national team, while he’s still in Spain.

“Maybe he needs me more? For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make people happy.

“I’d like him to come to Italy one day. I hope he accepts the challenge like me, but if he’s happy there then I respect that.

“He’s a fantastic player and a good guy, but I don’t miss anything here. This is my new life and I’m happy.”
