Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has time and again proved that he loves and cares for his constituents.
Days after organizing a successful football tournament dubbed Babu Owino Super Cup, the young legislator was at it again and this time he was promoting beauty and fashion in his constituency.
Babu held a succesful first annual Mister & Miss Embakasi East Cultural Extravaganza over the weekend with the event being held at Mihango Primary School in Embakasi East.
“A big thank you to all Nairobians who graced Mr & Miss EMBAKASI EAST event last evening. It is my eternal duty to forever look out for and support the youth. I urge youths all-over the nation to seriously think about developing their talents & self employment, we are on OUR OWN!” said Babu.

Babu Owino has declared that he will vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the 2022 elections. He has exuded confidence that he would succeed embattled Governor Mike Sonko.
“I will not just vie for the gubernatorial position; I will be the governor of Nairobi County after the 2022 elections. I am the only hope for the residents of Nairobi and in future I will also lead Kenya as its president,” said Owino.
Despite the comparisons drawn between him and Governor Sonko in terms of flare and drama in politics; Owino has been keen to point out that the two are very different.
“I am different because I am well organized and a serious intellectual. With my intellect I will organize the city of Nairobi and rid it of its common challenges such as lack of enough water, poor roads and poor waste disposal systems,” said Babu.
