“There have been more rumours of Jose Mourinho leaving Manchester United. It’s totally untrue. Jose is very happy at the club and the club is very happy with him. He has a long-term contract with Manchester United and is fully committed to the club in building a solid winning project,” Mendes said in the statement.

Mourinho is expected to lead Man United to face Fulham at home on Saturday and he exuded confidence that his side will win the match with rumours on his future swirling.

“I want to be positive and think we are going to win. But if we don’t, give credit to the people that deserve credit.  The game is not going to be 11 against zero, it’s going to be 11 against 11, good players on the other side. The position, the points sometimes don’t say much about the real potential of the team, of one of the two most important managers in the history of the Premier League, so they have the potential to come here tomorrow and to give us a very difficult match.” Mou said.

Mourinho signed an improved contract in January until 2020, with the option of an additional year that rests with United.
