The Pulse Music and Video Awards in celebrates the milestones marked by various artists in the musical journey. Th award basically is aimed at recognize the positive efforts made by the various key players to make sure that the music industry in Kenya shines.
It is an event sponsored by Standard Media Group. The annual award event that celebrates Kenya’s vixens, producers, choreographers, artists among others this year called for video entries in the various 11 categories.
The categories up for grabs for the various acts in the music industry were:
1. Video vixen of the year
2. Male video of the year
3. Female video of the year
4. New artist of the year
5. Best cinematography of the year
6. Best collaboration of the year
7. Best choreography of the year
8. Best breakthrough video of the year
9. Best group video of the year
10. Video producer of the year
11. Most nominated YouTube video of the year
King Kaka was the man of the night at the Gala event which was hosted By Jamal Gaddafi and KTN Straight up host Chero.
The award was curtain raised with performances from Khaligraph Jones, Nadia Mukami among others.
