Cases of love gone bad among young women dating older men have been on the rise recently.In the latest , a woman by the name Jane Wanjiku, a waitress in Nanyuki is said to have conspired with her father Charles Macharia to kill and steal from George Gachibi, a businessman.
Detectives are said to have acted swiftly on receiving information about the stolen car & laid an ambush. After a short while,it was spotted being driven to a Petrol Station in Kirwara,Gatanga
Police arrested the driver(Charles Macharia) and recovered the vehicle & all stolen electronics belonging to the deceased .
The deceased man is said to have have been dating Jane Wanjiku and who is twice her age, .Ms Wanjiku is said to have been frequently visiting the home of the deceased over the years before she connived with her father to get rid of him.

“The suspects were found in possession of the deceased’s motor vehicle and other electronics in their house in Gatanga.”
Laikipia County Criminal Investigations Officer Peter Muinde said detectives traced the car signal to a place called Kirwara in Thika Sub-County.
“Detectives acted swiftly on receiving information about the stolen car & laid an ambush. After a short while, it was spotted being driven to a Petrol Station in Kirwara, Gatanga & the driver (Charles Macharia)arrested. The vehicle & all stolen electronics from the deceased were recovered,” stated the DCI.
The body of the deceased businessman, George Gachibi, was found lying in a pool of blood on Tuesday at 9 am by his employees who had gone to check on him at his house after he failed to answer to their calls and had not reported at his business.
The main door to his rented house had been broken and left open.
The two suspects were detained at Thika Police Station while the body of the deceased was moved to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
