We understand that President Uhuru loves old people. Nothing can explain his appetite for giving old men who are living on a bonus jobs, but he always finds a way of giving them these jobs.
But appointing former Vice President Moody Awori as the Sports Fund Board Member on his 91st birthday is taking the joke too far. At 91, what value will uncle Moody add to the authority?
Americans are mourning the death of former president George H.W Bush who died last month at the age of 94. The senior Bush was senile at the time of his demise and Awori is not far from that age.
With all due respect to the former Vice President, age has caught up with him and he may even die before he does something meaningful in his new capacity. So, why appoint him now?
It is not like Kenyan youths have jobs so many jobs? Youths are attending seminars right left and center with the hope of getting the requisite skills that will make them employable. Some government idiots, who draw huge salaries organise these seminars to tell us that self employment is the way to go.
At 91, uncle Moody should have set up a multi-million company which should be employing Kenyan youths. Unfortunately, he is competing with the same youths for jobs.
So we couldn’t find anyone other than the old and tired Moody Awori to be a board member of the sports fund? When will this habit of rewarding old cronies come to an end? So so sad.

Uhuru Kenyatta was voted in on the pledge to employ the youth.
He has continued to employ 91 year olds like Moody Awori who has even served as VP.
Those Kenyan youths are getting what they deserve.— Agiddy (@okeweg) December 5, 2018
