Kenyans have been shocked after a video of Kenyan delegates who attended the blue Economy conference were making demands for food and allowances.
What really happened? Were they abandoned? The spokesperson added that they had been attending the Conference yet they have been side lined by the government.
Kenyans have however claimed that this is just a matter of greed as that is how most of the Kenyan leaders are.
Some have added that if it is indeed their right then it should be given to them. If that is not the case however, Kenyans have called them out saying that it is such a shame and no one forced them to attend the conference.
Here are the remarks by the man who was speaking on behalf of the Kenyan delegates;
“Halo Kenyans my name is Paul the spokesman of the Kenyan delegates who have been attending blue the conference; we are here to hear our grievances; we have been attending the conference from Monday what is worrying us is that the ministry of foreign affairs and govt of Kenya but Kenyan delegates have been sidelined. We did not get allowances or any meal cards
We are asking the president where are our allowances we are aware that the govt of Kenya Canada and Japan contributed to the conference we know that delegated” he said
The spokes person also added that many people had traveled from far just to attend the conference only to be denied accommodation and allowances.
Kenyans have shamed the delegates saying that the most important thing would have been them learning skills and networking instead of asking for money.
What are your thoughts on this uproar have a look at the reactions.
I thought that they had something important to demand. When they started demanding food and payment, I realised that it is the usual greed of Kenyans. pic.twitter.com/4NWwwdK2xg

I attended the conference and did NOT expect anyone to give me anything other than skills & ideas. People shouldn’t be motivated by allowances to attend conferences but rather by desire to exchange ideas for a better tommorow. @Diplomacy_Kenya
