Van Gaal warns Barcelona

Former Manchester United and Barcelona manager Louis Van Gaal has warned Barca against signing Neymar again.

There has been unending talk that Barca area considering signing the Brazilian captain amid the failure of Ousmane Dembele to stamp his authority at Camp Nou. Van Gaal says Neymar is an individualistic player and who is still growing.

“I think it’s not good for Barcelona, but that’s my opinion. Neymar is still a young player who can continue to develop. He must first learn to be a team player. Neymar is too individualistic, which is why I think Barcelona should be vigilant before deciding to get him back.” the veteran Dutchman told La Porteria de Beteve.

Mark Van Bommel, PSV manager has said he feels ‘nice’ when reports link him with Bayern Munich. Van Bommel has settled at the Eredivisie club and will lead his side against his former employers Barcelona tonight in a Champions League clash. Niko Kovac, the boss at Allianz Arena, has been under pressure given the poor outing, especially in Bundesliga. Arsene Wenger has also been tipped to take the reigns at Bayern and now Bommel seems elated by the reports linking him too.

“It’s nice that people speak about this, but I’m currently the head coach here, although I have played for Bayern Munich.” the Dutch coach said.

English Premier League side and leaders Manchester City have been closely linked to the USA goalkeeper Zack Stefen. The custodian is under the books of MSL outfit Columbus Crew and a fee of £5m and £8m is being negotiated.

Steffen has six caps for the USA that came following his debut against Bosnia-Herzegovina in California in January. Steffen has played for 71 times for his club.

Liverpool’s chief executive Peter Moore has critically suggested that the club is not for sale. Fenway Sports Group bought the Anfield outfit eight years ago and Moore has come out to clearly put the record straight that they are not considering bids.

“The owners, since they took over the club as stewards, have invested £2m in capital investment, that’s building things, investing in technology and investing in this new main stand. I think what we have is an ownership group that totally understands what it means to be in charge of this football club.” Moore stated.
