Big Move! Neymar All Set To Leave PSG For Spanish Giants

Financial restrictions and sporting ambitions have reportedly led a consensus between Neymar Jr. and Paris Saint-German over a transfer of the Brazilian forward, with a fee of EUR 200 million reportedly set. While reports have been suggesting that Barcelona are keen to have their former player back donning the claret and blue jersey again, the Catalan club has now been informed of the fee it would take for them to bring Neymar back. The player, who seems keen to leave the France capital, hasn’t yet denied a move to Real Madrid which also seems possible after Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus.

As per a Barcelona-based broadcaster Betevé, a Barca negotiator, Andre Cury, has met with Neymar’s father in London last week to discuss the possibilities of bringing the Brazil captain back at Camp Nou. The Lionel Messi-led side is reportedly looking to make Ousmanne Dembele a part of the negotiations with PSG, in a bid to lower the asking price of EUR 200 million.

Dembele, since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in €145m (£135.5m) move in 2017, hasn’t been able to establish himself in the Barcelona starting XI and is believed to have asked the club to let him leave in the January window. While English Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool are believed to be interested, the Spanish giants are looking to include him in the Neymar deal.

Barcelona’s arch-rivals Real Madrid, however, refused to make a big-money signing this season after Ronaldo left for Italian champions Juventus in the summer. With the club presently enduring one of its worst seasons in the recent history, Los Blancos might as well go for Neymar after knowing that the Brazilian superstar is in the market for €200 million, a fee that isn’t a subject of much discussion for Champions League holders.

While PSG are enjoying a record-breaking season in France, it hasn’t been all good for Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga. While the Lionel Messi-led Barca gave away the summit position to Sevilla following a 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid are 6th in the table with just 6 wins in 13 matches.
