Both being Brazilians, Alisson is “expecting to have a great match” as he backs Liverpool to keep out Neymar in the Champions League.
Liverpool travel to PSG on Wednesday hoping to keep their European fate in their own hands.
The Reds started their group campaign with a memorable victory over the Parisiens but have won just one more game, losing to both Napoli and Red Star away.
They must avoid defeat in France to remain in control of progression from the group, and Alisson is confident they can keep out the Ligue Un champions.
“They have Neymar against our defenders but we have also a great defence so it’ll be a great match for everybody to see,” he told London Evening Standard.
“I’m expecting to have a great match in this game too.
“I am getting used to the team, my colleagues and the culture.
“I’m really happy with my moment right now with the team and the national squad.”
The Reds will be out of reach for PSG if they manage to get the three points from their penultimate group stage game, but that is no easy task with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani leading the opponents’ attack.
However, Alisson is confident his side can keep PSG’s forward line quiet and expects to be in good form himself to help the cause.
