Tanzanian music princess Nandy has praised Gospel artist Willy Paul and described him as a ‘good artist’.
Nandy made this statement on a recent interview on one of the local radio stations when she was asked to share her experience on working with Gospel artist Willy Paul .
Nandy lauded Willy Paul saying that he is a hardworking artist who stood by his music and got it where he wanted it to be.
She also added that Willy Paul was such a great encouragement to her since he showed a lot of commitment and seriousness in his music.
“My experience with Willy Paul on the Njiwa song was good. Willy Paul is a good artist anajituma alisimama na nyimbo yake vizuri
Kusimami nyimbo yake kufika mahali anataka ifike.. kazi yake iwe kubwa. Alinipa moyo sana kwa vile yuko serious. Nandy noted
When asked about the claims that she plans to quit music come 2022 , Nandy said that it was not true adding that she is working towards ensuring that she gets where she wants to be in the music industry and after that,she will cut down on her music.
“Sijasema naacha muziki napunguza maswala ya muziki. Nishakua mwaabishara na huezi fanya vitu viwili kwa mpigo mmoja” she said
Nandy worked on a collabo with Willy Paul ‘Njiwa’ a song that was released earlier this year.
The two have been music buddies ever since and at some point fans even thought that they were in love.
Although Nandy is still fresh blood in the music industry having that she only has about a year of experience. The singer has had grand achievements including being part of the Coke Studio 2019.
Nandy who is currently in Kenya after she was nominated to be part of the Coke Studio 2019 shared her excitement saying that being part of the team.
She also revealed that she has made a collabo with Nigerian rapper Skales among other artists.
“Coke Studio Africa help artists a lot because it is a platform to interact with other artists. It also gives you the value of being a recognized African artist and your talent gets known far and wide.” she said
