Kenyans nostalgic about the Nakuru; ‘5 million’ Christmas tree ahead of Festive season

The Festive season is here and Kenyans  are nostalgic about a Nakuru Christmas tree that allegedly costed millions.

A memory that will go a long way since Kenyans were shocked by such extravagance which was made by the Nakuru county government.

Kenyans reacted in fury saying that the Christmas tree was poorly done and  was not worth all that.

On the matter of the cost, which some people claim was something to the tune of Kshs. 5,000,000 the supporters clarified that the bulk of the money went into feeding street families and providing other gifts to the needy.

Most Kenyans during the festive season are trapped in  over spending and come January, everyone cries on being broke.

This year might be a year to do things differently and prioritize.  There are many ways in which one can have fun and enjoy their vacation at a very affordable way and at a lesser cost.

The Festive traditions that come off as some sort of competition always end up ruining the budget and plans yet many do not realize this until their bank accounts run dry.

The December holidays are usually the peak of celebration as it marks the end of the year; something that does not go unnoticed.

With the current state of economy, Kenyans  might have to cut down on the expenditure not just by the citizens but this sends a signal to the county officials who make the festive season as an opportunity to pocket the taxpayers money.

Kenyans this year have been advised to be considerate and hold moderate celebrations that will not weigh heavily on them.
