You could be a million shillings richer should you provide the police with information on the whereabouts of Kilifi’s most wanted criminals.
Five days after the Malindi attack, police have now identified three people who they believe are key suspects in the kidnapping of a 23-year old Italian woman, Silvia Constanca Romano who was was abducted from her house by suspected Al-Shaabab at Chakama trading center in Malindi, Kilifi County.
The suspects identified as Yusuf Kuno Adan, Said Adan Abdi and and Ibrahim Adan Omar are still at large.

In a statement addressed to the Press, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet said that a reward of one million Kenya shillings will be offered to anyone with information on them.
“We have established that two motorbikes that were found by our officers tracking the suspects might have been used to escape. The bikes were originally assembled by Auto Industries LTD in Nairobi but later sold to Malindi Coast Motorcycles of Jamhuri road in Malindi.” Boinnet said.
Ms Romano was abducted on Tuesday night when 80 heavily armed men attacked the village in Galana Kulalu at around 8 pm and started shooting in the air, injuring children and young adults.
Sources indicate that by the time police were deployed, the gunmen has already crossed River Galana with the lady who could be heard calling for help.
The Italian woman was among the volunteers who are working with Africa Milele Onlus, a non-governmental organisation in Fano town Italy, whose mission is to receive, support and educate orphan children who are marginalized by society.
Twenty people have so far been arrested and are in police custody as a man hunt has now been launched for the three key suspects. A multi-agency team has also been tasked with trying to find the whereabouts of Ms. Romano.
