Man seeks for help after unemployment bites for 16 years

Ever imagined being unemployed for about 16 years? Sometimes we think that unemployment is a joke until we meet with it in the eye.

Among the youth this can be the most frustrating thing that can happen. Being unemployed for a whole year in this economy is even worse. The many activities in the towns makes it seem like there is hope we see the hustle . We get carried away.we fail to notice that even amid all these activities there is one in the corners that might be left out for many reasons.

Saying there is no job opportunities may feel like a stupid excuse to those who landed on jobs immediately after campus. But what are the options?

The youth have woken up and realized that you will sleep hungry if you wait for that job. Go out and work. Work even for the things you do not have papers for.

Can you clean? Can you open a business? Can you volunteer? These jobs are looked down upon and that is why we remain stagnant. I sure we have heard of stories of the people we look up to today. They never had is easy too.

A middle aged man is seeking for help from the government after being unable to get a job since 2002. Imagine the growth he would have achieved in these 16 year.

His name is David Kangu from Shirotsa Khiswero constituency Kakamega county a Master’s in mathematics graduate from Egerton in the year 2002.

A man shared his plight on twitter saying that the reason he has not got a job ever since is because he is disabled.

I have come across many campaigns and banners that seemingly advertise employment for the differently abled and given this reason caught me by surprise.

Kenyans came in to give the help they could while some sent out opportunities that he could try out.

Others called out to the western leaders to come to Kangu’s rescue and help him get a job. Promising not to be silent until he gets the help he needs.

What do you think the government should do to kill this unemployment disease?
