How EPL has transformed Pep Guardiola

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says the Premier League has helped him improve as a coach.

Guardiola who has experience from the Bundesliga and La Liga believes he has improved as a coach since arriving in the Premier League. He was appointed as the City boss in 2016 after enjoying success at Barcelona and Bayern Munich. The 47-year old said learning about the challenges in England has improved his coaching skills.

“I am a better manager than I was in Germany, and I am a better manager now than I was in Barcelona by far, just for the fact of being there,” said Guardiola.

“Now, I feel being here I am a better manager too because I learned to handle this incredible league in many circumstances. We are doing a job, everybody around the world is watching us, and it is fantastic,” he added.

Guardiola will lead his side over the weekend against West Ham United holding a two-point lead over second-placed Liverpool. The club is boasting a 31+ goal difference in 21 matches.
