MCA faints and wets his pants after fierce fight with another MCA

Nelson LotelaA Baringo Kanu MCA was seriously injured after he was hit with an iron bar by another MCA following disagreement over nomination of a member to the county assembly service board. Silale said representative Nelson Lotela upon being hit on the head fainted and wetted his pants. He was rushed to Baringo County Referral Hospital.

At the hospital, according to family members, he underwent scanning to ascertain the degree of the injury sustained following the brutal attack.

The incident took place in the office of minority leader Sam Lourien when the Land MCAs disagreed when their two nominees tied at five after they took a vote.

Lotela supported Tangulbei/Korossi ward two Shadrack Mailuk with deputy speaker Ames Zelemoi backing Makal who is the outgoing member.

Following the squabble over who should be nominated to represent Kanu in the assembly service board, a member picked a rod, attacked Lorena who fell on the floor with his eyes turning pale white.

Nominated MCA Caroline Jepkesei fearing Lotela was dying screamed for help as the door had been locked from outside. Jepkesei is also said to have received a hard slap on the cheek from one of those supporting the nomination of Makal.

Sources said that the members had postponed nomination of the member after lacking a quorum but on resuming the following day, voting for the two nominees went on. They tied at five votes each ending in a serious disagreement over who should take the slot.
After tying, according to our source, some members walked out of the voting session and one of them closed the door from outside and left with the key leaving the two warring camps in the room.Image result for Lawi KipchumbaJubilee party majority leader Lawi Kipchumba had submitted the name of their nominee Saimo Soi ward MCA Richard Cheserem, and Kanu was supposed to complete the exercise that morning.

Mogotio ward representative Charles Kosgei had moved a motion calling for the disbandment of the county assembly service board citing poor leadership and integrity issues, a motion that was unanimously passed.
