The political war that has engulfed Rift valley region.

The political battle at the rift valley region broke out after Deputy President’s allies came together  guns blazing and protecting Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.

Members of the August house led by  Alfred Keter of Nandi Hills,  accused DP Ruto of sabotaging maize farming.

His sentiments were refuted by  Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi who dismissed the MPs even claims that Cherangany MP Jushua Kutuny is not a Kalenjin thus not fit to comment on geopolitics.

In his statement he said, “Let Kutuny go to his people. There is a Kalenjin saying that only the mother who knows where her children were born.Kutuny should be investigated. He’s not a Kalenjin. Let him go and make noise elsewhere and not in Rift Valley.”

Recently, Kutuny warned that Ruto has to change tactic on his approach for him to win State House race.

“Things ain’t working out. He must change his attitude and approach. Things are now thick and tough,” he said.

Lately there has been alot of political bickering in the Rift valley region.

Just recenctly Rift Valley cleric  asked politicians to ‘leave retired President Daniel Moi and his family alone’.

According to Rev Joel Chebii,  it was regrettable that politicians have been misusing Moi’s name to gain political mileage.

He spoke in Eldoret on Tuesday amid a widening rift in Rift Valley, largely occasioned by calls for Deputy President William Ruto to be probed over the maize scandal.

This prompted the Rift MPs Alfred Keter (Nandi), Joshua Kutuny (Cherangany) and Silas Tiren of Moiben initiated the call. Their colleagues, who are pro-Ruto, defended the DP.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi accused the three of being funded by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, who is the former President’s son.

He claimed the trio were funded by the Senator, whose family is said to be playing a critical factor in the President Uhuru Kenyatta succession politics.

But Chebii dismissed the claims, saying the retired President had done his part in developing the country.

“Politics should not go there as Mzee is not fighting for any seat. He did his part,” Chebii said, citing church and school projects Moi oversaw.
