Who is Black Leopards? Is Kerr in a better place?
Immediate former Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr was on Monday 19th November unveiled at South African Premier Soccer League side Black Leopards as the new manager.
The development came just a couple of days after quitting Gor Mahia and admitting that his decision was purely a professional one in order to progress with his career development.
Who are Leopards?
The club was founded in 1983 by business people in Venda before it was taken over by the Thidiela family in 1998.
The club had a challenge at the beginning because of the fans’ believe in positive racial equality, this was ended with a few of the ‘fans’ ending in jail for conspiracy of murder.
The club spent just two seasons of campaigning in the National First Division before it got promoted to the elite division of the country.
Leopards were relegated to the First Division in 2008 after seven seasons in the Premiership.
In 2011 Leopards returned to the PSL.
All the best Dylan Kerr!!
Kerr led Gor Mahia to two league titles during his 16-month reign – winning 51 matches, 16 draws and 12 defeats in 79 games.
