Majority of Kenyans believe that the latest case facing embattled Migori governor Okoth Obado is political witch haunt.
Obado was released on a sh 200,000 cash bail or sh 500,000 bond with sureties of the same amount, in his latest case in which he is being sued by the state for illegal possession of firearms.
He was arrested in dramatic fashion on Tuesday afternoon at the Hilton Hotel where he was attending a meeting in the company of Deputy President William Ruto.
This was after EACC had raided his Nairobi and Migori homes, looking for evidence linking him to the loss of sh 2.5 billion from the Migori County coffers. The detectives are said to have recovered eight guns from his homes.
But Kenyans can’t buy this theory. In fact one person has claimed that the Migori boss loves women and not guns as he is being accused.
governor obado likes women not guns. i don’t believe that weapons belong to him but rather the militia around him led by oyamo. they knew he rarely used the house making it a perfect hiding den for them

Other Kenyans have said that Obado’s case has nothing to do with guns but just political witch haunt over the his decision to work with Ruto.
Sasa Obado amebakisha drug trafficking na money laundering…then the “system of handcheques” will be done with him! Its witchhunt at this point

Ruto containment going awry. Obado is playing the powers that be. His harassment will continue shortly. After even more guns are planted and found. State machinery at work.

The prosecution was seeking to have the governor detained for 15 days pending investigations into the case but magistrate Joyce Gandan released him on bail, saying he is not a flight risk and cannot interfere with unknown witnesses.
Do you believe that Obado is being fixed?
