President Uhuru Kenyatta give CS one week ultimatum

Is one week sufficient to deal with land documentation – a hot potato in society?

President Uhuru Kenyatta has given the Education ministry one week to revert land ownership and control of church-sponsored schools to churches.

The president termed this as a great honour to the departed Retired Archbishop John Njenga who was buried in Nairobi n Tuesday 13th November.

“There is a lot of schools built by the church and we want the Ministry of Education to restore that sponsorship back and secondly you have one week to restore all church and school owned land back to the owner,” he stated.

“Yes the church and state must remain separate but we must remain interdependent. My first duty though is to pass my condolences to the family , the church and indeed to all Kenyans for our departed brother Archbishop John Njenga,” he stated.
